We had another great session last night. I can’t get over how well we have improved our skills! Our last session starts at 8:30pm on Sept 24 and will be our 1st Blue – White Cup Game complete with: Three-Man Officiating Crew, Individual Player Introductions, National Anthem, Announcer, etc. Your families will not want to miss this! And neither will YOU…..! We will hold ‘post game’ interviews in the (chip’s place?) with lot’s of fine food and beverages. Get your ‘Game Face’ ready as the winning Team will hold the ‘Bragging Rights’ through the Fall Session.

Speaking of the Fall Session, Rob will soon be seeking commitments from all that are returning so, we can begin preparations. Ice Time is harder to come by in the Fall and we want to continue to promote & teach this great game of Ice Hockey.

With the 1st Blue – White Cup Game on Week 10, that leaves us four sessions to better prepare ourselves thus, I am revising our topics/lessons:

8/20 Week 6 – The Role of Defenseman
Chalk Talk @ 7:15pm, on only one sheet of ice from 7:45pm-9:15pm

8/27 Week 7 – The Role of Forwards.
Chalk Talk @ 7:15pm, on only one sheet of ice from 7:45pm-9:15pm

9/10 Week 8 – Positional Play
Chalk Talk @ 8:45pm, on ice from 9:15pm-10:15pm and other side from 9:30pm-10:30pm

9/17 Week 9 – Game Strategy
Chalk Talk @ 8:45pm, on ice from 9:15pm-10:15pm and other side from 9:30pm-10:30pm

9/24 Week 10 – 1st Blue vs White Cup Game
8:30pm-10:00pm

You will NOT want to miss these Chalk Talks! They will begin promptly @ 7:15pm on 8/20 and 8/27, and 8:45pm on 9/10 and 9/17. I will prepare on-ice drills to accommodate each of these remaining ice sessions. During Weeks 8 & 9, I will not be participating as a player but, instead JD & myself will be on the ice ‘coaching’ better positional play during the game action.

And, I will not participate as a player in the 1st Blue – White Cup Game. I will be the Announcer! Be sure to bring/invite any new prospects for the Fall Session.

Also, there is NO ice Labor Day weekend (Sept 3rd)
